Our Pediatric Dentist At Timber Falls Pediatric Dentistry

Timber Falls Pediatric Dentistry has maintained its position as one of the most top-rated pediatric dentist Gilbert AZ has to offer by Phoenix Magazine from 2003 to 2020! Our amazing pediatric dental team is led by Dr. Brett Quackenbush, a member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, as well as a professionally recognized diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Quackenbush has a real passion for what pediatric dentists do by setting your child up for lifelong oral health success and has the experience and credentials to support that passion! After completing his fundamental dental training (DDS) at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, he then completed a two-year specialty training program in Pediatric Dentistry at Indiana University/ Riley Children’s Hospital. But that wasn’t enough for good ol’ Dr. Quackenbush! He wanted to know more about what pediatric dentists do and believed in why they are so important for the healthy development of your baby so, he stayed to pursue and receive his Master of Science in Dentistry Degree (MSD), focusing on Caries research. Afterward, he and his wife and four boys settled in Gilbert, Arizona where, in 2002, he opened Timber Falls Pediatric Dentistry and has been practicing there ever since.

Exams & Preventative Treatment

Setting up routine check-ups for your child, starting after the emergence of baby’s first tooth, but no later than one year of age, is crucial in the overall health and development of your baby’s dental hygiene. One reason is that dental disease is the most common childhood chronic disease and, believe it or not, due to a child’s diet, tarter can start developing at a very young age so, risks begin with baby’s first tooth. A good pediatric dentist can provide parents proper oral education for the care of their baby’s teeth and are specially trained to identify signs of early decay and provide preventative services to stop the dental disease from progressing.

Depending on your child’s age, your visit to Timber Falls Pediatric Dentistry may include a full examination of the teeth, gums, jaws, bite, and oral tissue to check the growth and development of primary teeth to ensure healthy emergence of adult teeth. A gentle cleaning involving polishing teeth and removing any plaque, tartar, and stains may also be needed.
